Morecambe welcome John Still’s Luton Town to the Globe Arena on Tuesday night.
The 65-year-old is a familiar face to Shrimps fans after his days with Dagenham & Redbridge. Took over at Luton in February 2013 and guided the Hatters back to the Football League as Conference champions in his first full season in charge. After an eighth-placed finish in League 2 last season Still will be looking at a sustained promotion push this time around.
The 31-year-old has the pedigree to be one of the best players in the Football League’s bottom tier this season. Former Peterborough and Brighton striker’s signing was seen as something of a coup as he linked up with his former Dagenham boss Still. Has three goals to his name so far this season.
Luton have made a stuttering start to the season but have won four of their last five in all competitions. Jack Marriott’s late brace handed the Hatters a 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday meaning they sit 16th in League 2 ahead of the trip to the Globe Arena.
Sides have met four times in League 2 with The Shrimps doing the double last season. A 3-0 win at the Globe Arena in December was backed up with a 3-2 win at Kenilworth Road in March, Luke Wilkinson’s late own goal handing 10-man Morecambe the win.
