CRAIG Stanley has publicly stated his desire to leave Morecambe at the end of the season.

Stanley, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has enjoyed a successful loan spell at Torquay and has said he wishes to stay at Plainmoor next season.

Speaking on a Torquay website he said: “Hopefully, talks will be planned soon.

“The important thing is playing football at the moment and seeing what league Torquay manage to get in, but talks should be ongoing within the next couple of weeks when my loan finishes.

“Personally, I’m really happy at Torquay and things have gone really well for me over the past couple of months,” he added.
