Slyne came out on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller with Fulwood Amateurs at Bottomdale Road.

Mark Murphy opened the scoring for Ian Roe’s hosts before Fulwood fired back with Mitch Newsham’s brace and a Phil Blackwell goal putting them into a 3-1 half-time lead.

There were still plenty of twists and turns left however as two goals in four minutes either side of the hour mark from Murphy and Josh Buller made it 3-3.

But Fulwood had the final say with Ged Smith getting the winner with time almost up.

Garstang on the other hand came from behind to pick up their first away win of the season, 3-1, against rock bottom Lostock St Gerards.

Kurt Robinson gave the hosts a shock lead eight minutes in with Neil Crossley’s men levelling things up two minutes before the break through Dre Matichecchia.

Matty Bell put the Riversiders in front on 71 minutes before Tom Graham made sure of the win five minutes from time.

This Saturday Garstang host Southport Hesketh while Slyne welcome Crooklands Casuals.
