One to watch

Danny Kedwell. The 29-year-old striker scored eight goals in the first ten league games and the club’s top scorer has 11 goals so far this season in all competitions.


Shrimps have only won one of the six Football League meetings between the two sides, a 2-1 win at the Globe Arena last October thanks to goals from Garry Hunter and Kevin Ellison. Gills won last season’s corresponding fixture at the Priestfield Stadium 2-0 in May, the final game of last season.


The Gills’ fantastic start to the season sees them five points clear of second-placed Port Vale. Only lost one of their last eight in League 2, a 2-1 defeat at Torquay in October. Drew 2-2 at Plymouth on Saturday.
