Morecambe welcome unlikely League 2 high-fliers Wycombe Wanderers to the Globe Arena on Saturday in a 3pm kick-off.

Manager

Gareth Ainsworth

Former Chairboys and Queens Park Rangers winger has overseen an upturn in fortunes this season.

After narrowly avoiding relegation from the Football League last year Wycombe are currently second in League 2 and on a fine run of form.

Key Man

Paul Hayes

The well-travelled former Scunthorpe and Preston striker has been an instant hit at Adams Park.

Hayes has five goals to his name so far this season having signed in the summer after his third Scunny spell came to an end.

Form

Ainsworth’s side are unbeaten in their last eight League 2 games.

The only blemish in the run was a 1-0 defeat to Coventry in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Aaron Holloway’s header seven minutes into stoppage time handed them a dramatic 1-1 draw with Northampton on Saturday.

History

Morecambe are still looking for their first league win over Wycombe.

In 10 meetings there have been four draws and six victories for Wanderers.

Possible line-up

Ingram, Jombati, Pierre, Mawson, Jacobson, Cowan-Hall, Murphy, Scowen, Wood, Hayes, McClure.
