Striker Jack Sampson has joined Macclesfield after his release by Morecambe.

The 22-year-old ended the season on loan at Moss Rose and has now put pen to paper with the National League side for the 2015-2016 season.

Having fallen out of favour at the Globe Arena Sampson made four league appearances and scored two goals for the Silkmen.

Other players to have been let go by the Shrimps include Ryan Williams, who has signed for Championship side Brentford, Mark Hughes, who has joined Stevenage and Andy Wright, who will line up against Sampson next season having joined Southport.
