Run to raise funds for family of Morecambe FC defender cancelled due to lockdown

The proposed 34k run/walk on Friday was aiming to raise funds for the family of the 23-year-old defender, who died recently.

Christian, who wore the number 34 shirt for the Shrimps, was found dead at his home in Cottam, Preston, two weeks ago.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been sent to the coroner.

The Morecambe marathon (#34ForMbulu) had been organised by defender Sam Lavelle “in memory of a good friend and teammate.”
