Wycombe will be eyeing the League 2 play-offs in Gareth Ainsworth’s first full season in charge, starting with Morecambe’s visit to Adams Park on Saturday.
The former Queens Park Rangers and Preston midfielder took over following the sacking of Gary Waddock at the start of last season and guided Wanderers to 15th in League 2, two points and a place above the Shrimps.
It has been a relatively quiet summer in the transfer market for Ainsworth but he has added winger Paris Cowan-Hall from Plymouth and brought forward Jon-Paul Pittman back to Wycombe after two years at Oxford.
Player of the year Josh Scowen could once again be the key man at Adams Park this season.
The central midfielder is still only 20, and was immediately recalled from a loan spell by Ainsworth at Eastbourne when he took over as manager and went on to become a key man in the middle of the park.
The game, this Saturday, August 3, kicks-off at 3pm at Adams Park.
