Morecambe travel to newly-promoted Cambridge United this Saturday, August 23, in a 3pm kick-off.

Richard Money

Former Luton manager guided the U’s back to the Football League after a nine-year absence last season, beating Gateshead 2-1 in the play-off final.

Experienced boss has previously won the League 2 title with Walsall in 2007, so knows the level inside-out.

Key Man

Luke Chadwick.

Former Manchester United youngster is enjoying a new lease of life with his home town club.

Now 33, the attacking midfielder joined on loan from MK Dons last season to help the U’s back into the Football League before making the move permanent in the summer.

The U’s have made a solid start on their return to League 2, beating Plymouth 1-0 at home on the opening day before a 2-1 defeat to title favourites Portsmouth last Saturday and a 2-2 draw at York on Tuesday night.

Money’s side were knocked out of the Capital One Cup 3-1 at Birmingham City last week.

Sides have not met since the Shrimps were promoted to the Football League in 2007.

In five meetings between the sides in league and cup the Shrimps have won two, with one Cambridge triumph and two draws.

Possible line-up
