Morecambe travel to AFC Wimbledon this Saturday, September 20, in a 3pm kick-off.

Adebayo Akinfenwa

Has formed an eye-catching partnership with Bournemouth loanee Matt Tubbs this season after leaving Gillingham in the summer.

Akinfenwa scored his first two Dons goals in the 3-0 win over Burton Albion on Tuesday night.

Tubbs is however suspended for the Shrimps clash after being sent off for two yellow cards against Burton.


Ardley’s side returned to form in style with a 3-0 win over previously unbeaten leaders Burton.

After a positive start their form had dipped of late and were without a win in four games before shocking Rowett’s side.

Are currently 12th in League 2 with 11 points from their first eight games.


Sides have met six times since Wimbledon’s rise to the Football League and it’s all level with two wins apiece and two draws.

Last season’s corresponding fixture saw Morecambe run out 3-0 winners in April, securing their Football League safety for another season.
