Leaders Carnforth Rangers played out an excellent goalless draw with Morecambe Royals in the Baines Bagguley Penhale North Lancashire Football League Premier Division.
Both sides had chances in a pulsating first half but it was the top of the table side who had the best of them from the penalty spot 10 minutes before the break.

The second half saw Carnforth in the ascendency but they could not get past man of the match James Davies who made a string of excellent saves and when he was beaten, saw a defender clear off the line to deny Rangers all three points.
Elsewhere struggling Swarthmoor Social Club made the trip to Cartmel and District and were beaten 5-2, with third-placed Cartmel’s goals coming from John Lord, Joel Drinkall, Matthew Burrows (2) and Karl Airey.
Swarthmoor had Cameron Barker and Graham Wilcox to thank for their two strikes.
In Division Two Boys Club beat Galgate Reserves 2-1 thanks to goals from Stuart Leeming and James Short. Jay Khan was on the mark for Galgate.
