Morecambe FC have added a new face to the club’s board of directors.
Long-time Shrimps supporter Mike Hinchcliffe will specialise in human resources after being appointed last Thursday.
Chairman Peter McGuigan said: “I am delighted that Mike has agreed to join the Board.
“As a successful businessman with specific expertise in human resources I am confident he will make a significant contribution to the development of the club.
“Mike has been an ardent supporter of the club for many years and we wish him every success in his new role.”
Mike said: “As a long-time supporter of the club, alongside being born and brought up in the area, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join the board.
“I’ve thoroughly the match day experience for many a year and I’m now keen to get more involved.
“I look forward to bringing a little of my HR experience to the football club as it enters a new stage of development both on and off the pitch.”
At a fans’ forum held at the Globe Arena last Thursday, July 24, chairman Mr McGuigan hinted that an announcement regarding about the club’s Chinese link-up would be made on September 7.
The club said there would be “future developments in China” in an announcement on its website last week but have so far declined to elaborate on what these developments are.
