On Saturday, Jim Bentley’s side will be looking for their first home win of the season against Plymouth.


Carl Fletcher. Will mark his first year in charge tonight, Tuesday, when the Pilgrims host Bristol Rovers. Was appointed player-caretaker boss last September before being given the job on a permanent basis in November. Retired as a player in May.

One to watch

Robbie Williams. Former Huddersfield and Barnsley midfielder is the Pilgrims’ top scorer so far this season with three goals. Experienced defender Darren Purse should marshall the Argyle defence.


The sides met for the first time last season and shared two draws.

They drew 1-1 at Home Park last November before a 2-2 draw at the Globe Arena at the end of April in the Shrimps’ final home game of last season.


Argyle have five points from their first six league games. Lost 3-1 at home to Port Vale on Saturday. Last victory came in 3-2 win at home to Northampton on September 1.
