Morecambe will face Blackpool at the Globe Arena on Tuesday, July 28.

The friendly against the recently relegated Championship side is the latest to be added the Shrimps’ pre-season schedule.

Jim Bentley’s side will also host Bolton on Friday, July 17, and Bury seven days later on July 24.

All the games will kick off at 7.30pm.

They also have a friendly confirmed at Evo-Stik Premier Division side Nantwich Town on Tuesday, July 21.

It is believed the club are looking to finalise two further friendlies, one away to a non-league club on July 14.

Bentley said: “I like the four games and home with the two away against non-league sides.

“Ideally you want to go somewhere like AFC Liverpool last year where the pitch is fantastic.

“I’m not particularly bothered about the surroundings and the changing rooms but you want a good pitch.

“We’ve been to other places in the past and you can pick up ankle injuries and it’s hard.

“I’ve been to a game at Nantwich, it’s a new ground, it’s a good pitch and should be a good one for us.

“We’re working towards one more on the 14th and one more at home which has been earmarked and will come out in due course.”

The Morecambe players return for pre-season training on July 1.
