Morecambe FC have made former Bolton striker Jack Sampson their third signing of the summer.
The 20-year-old, who was released by the Championship side at the end of last season, has signed a two-year deal at the Globe Arena.
A former England Under 19 player, Sampson has spent time on loan at both Accrington Stanley and Southend.
Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: “Jack has a good pedigree and has loads of potential.
“He’s been at Wigan and Bolton and played in the league on loan at Southend and Accrington and I think he will have a lot to offer.
“He is still only young and we won’t put too much pressure on him but I am really pleased that he has joined us.
