When asked if he’d had any agents in contact – or whether he had two sets of targets based on which division Morecambe would be in next season – Adams had a simple message.

“Everything is closed down until we know if we’re going to be in League One or League Two next season.

“I don’t like to be distracted by anything. The only focus is on the games to go.

“Other people have their business to do, agents want to try and get their players into other clubs, but we have work to do.”
