Morecambe midfielder Williams could be set for Motherwell move

The popular 23-year-old has been training with the struggling Scottish Premier League side this week according to the Scottish Express.

New manager Ian Baraclough is taking a look at Williams with a view to making the set-piece specialist his first Fir Park signing.

The Shrimps look willing to let Williams, who has been in and out of the side this year, move on with boss Jim Bentley needing players to leave the club before he can make moves in the January transfer window.

Securing the loan return of Fleetwood goalkeeper Scott Davies remains Bentley’s top priority.
