Morecambe’s young central defender Chris Doyle has rejoined Chorley on loan.

The youngster had an impressive spell with the Magpies earlier in the season and has headed back to Victory Park on a youth loan.

The move means that Doyle is available for the next eight Chorley games including Tuesday night’s clash with Oxford City.

Doyle will also be available for Chorley’s LFA Trophy final tie against either Atherton Collieries or Clitheroe at Bolton Wanderers on Monday, March 16.

Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: “Chris made a real impression at Chorley earlier in the season and it was a very valuable spell for him.

“Chorley are a really good club playing at a good standard and the extra games he will play will be really good for his development.”
