Morecambe bring in former Blackpool and Plymouth Argyle keeper
Morecambe have added to their squad with the signing of goalkeeper Kyle Letheren.
The 33-year-old has joined the Shrimps on a deal until the end of the season, having left Chesterfield by mutual consent over the weekend.
He joins up again with Morecambe manager Derek Adams, for whom he played during his time at Plymouth Argyle.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday night’s match at Exeter City, Letheren said: “I’m delighted to be here
“As soon as I knew there was interest, I wanted to get myself here so it’s great to get it over the line.
“I worked with the gaffer for two years at Plymouth, he gave me the call and we managed to get it done.
“I can’t wait to get going now and hopefully we can go and get promoted.”
Letheren’s career has also seen him play for clubs including Kilmarnock, Dundee, Blackpool, York City and Salford City.
He fills the gap created by the departure of Jake Turner, whose season-long loan from Newcastle United was cut short earlier this month.
