The Shrimps boss is investigating allowing a couple of players to leave the Globe Arena on loan to make room for new faces to come in.

Bentley believes it would give his side a much-needed boost as they look to end a run that sees them without a win in their last four games in all competitions.

He said: “There’s one or two players at the club who need to go and play regular games.

“So we’ll see, one or two might go out on loan and one or two might come in on loan.

“It’s just to freshen it up and improve us in areas that I think we need to improve.”

Bentley’s room for manoeuvre hasn’t been helped by already needing to sign two goalkeepers on loan, Scott Davies from Fleetwood and Queens Park Rangers’ Joe Lumley.

The Shrimps boss said: “We’ve been hindered a little bit with regards to our finances with the goalkeeper situation.

“That’s not been ideal but these things happen in football.

“No-one would have expected at the start of the year that by November both our ‘keepers would be injured.”
