Jim Bentley admits it is good to see his side getting into a winning habit.
The Shrimps have won their two friendlies thus far against Kendal Town and Bolton Wanderers.
Bentley insists the fixtures are more about readying his squad for the new League 2 season but knows it is a good sign that his side are coming out on the right side of games.
He said: “I always say it’s not about results but it is about the habits you get into.
“As individuals it’s concentration levels and making the right decisions.
“As a group winning games is certainly a good habit to get into and we’re doing that at the moment which is great.”
The Morecambe boss with pleased with what he saw as his side got the better of Neil Lennon’s Bolton on Friday night.
Bentley said: “I thought there were some really good signs.
“Bolton have maybe had a little bit more than us with regards to games and minutes and were slick at times.
“Some of our play was very good while at times we were also sloppy.
“Against strong opposition we created plenty of chances though, scored good goals and it’s very pleasing.
“It’s early days and it’s about getting minutes into the players and getting good habits set in and that’s what we’re doing.”
