Morecambe announce first pre-season friendlies

Jim Bentley’s side will host Bolton Wanderers on Friday, July 17 before Bury visit the Globe Arena seven days later on July 24.

A further home friendly against a yet to be confirmed opponent will take place on Tuesday, July 28, with all games 7.30pm kick-offs.

The game against Bury is likely to see Shakers fans flock to the resort to thank the Shrimps for their role in their side’s promotion, with Morecambe’s 3-1 win over Southend on the final day of the season opening the door for Bury to seal their place in League 1.

The club said details of away pre-season friendlies will be announced in due course.
