Lancaster City Ladies 2-2 Penwortham Town Ladies
Lancaster City had the first chance on eight minutes with a Jess Hogg shot just going wide, and two minutes later Kayleigh Young had an effort aimed at the near post caught by the keeper.
Penwortham started to turn the screw, and having seen two efforts come back off the post, they went ahead on 18 minutes when a shot was parried by Lucy Tyson in the City goal and fell to the away team’s attacker to make it 1-0.

The game then became a bit of a stalemate from there on in – the clearest chance fell to Penwortham but goalkeeper Lucy Tyson got her fingers to the ball and pushed it beyond the post.
There were no more goals in the game as City claimed a share of the spoils.
Although it was not Lancaster’s best performance of the season so far, the ladies showed great team spirit to come back from 2-0 down and get something out of this one and it keeps them on their unbeaten run in last five games
