Lancaster City handed six new opponents next season

The Evo-Stik First Division North has been provisionally shaken-up next season.

Two of Lancaster City’s potential promotion rivals Witton Albion and Northwich Victoria have been moved to the South Division while East Yorkshire outfit Goole, one of six new teams, make the move in the opposite direction.

Colne have been promoted from the North West Counties Premier Division with Tadcaster Albion arriving as champions of the Northern Counties East Football League.

Colwyn Bay, Hyde United and Ramsbottom United have been allocated to the First Division North after their relegation from the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

The make-up of the league is set to be ratified in the coming weeks.

The full list of teams is: Bamber Bridge, Brighouse Town, Burscough, Clitheroe, Colne, Colwyn Bay, Droylsden, Farsley Celtic, Glossop North End, Goole AFC, Hyde United, Kendal Town, Lancaster City, Mossley, Ossett Albion, Ossett Town, Prescot Cables, Radcliffe Borough, Ramsbottom United, Scarborough Athletic, Tadcaster Albion and Trafford.

Lancaster City are looking for a new secretary for the coming season with Ray Coote stepping aside after one season in the role.

Lancaster City Ladies will celebrate promotion at a joint presentation evening with North Lancashire District Development Centre’s Under 18s this Saturday, May 21.

The event at Lancaster Cricket Club starts at 7pm and will have a DJ, buffet and raffle.
