Stewart Drummond is Morecambe’s main injury doubt ahead of AFC Wimbledon’s visit to the Globe Arena on Saturday.

The Shrimps veteran has impressed since getting a run in the side in recent weeks but picked up a knee injury in the draw at Plymouth last time out.

Elsewhere, Andy Wright’s hernia surgery was a success with Barry Roche also returning to the fold after spending time rehabbing from his hip surgery at the St George’s Park National Football Centre in Burton.

Boss Jim Bentley said: “Stewart Drummond hurt his knee and has had six stitches.

“It’s pretty swollen and he’s touch and go for the weekend.

“Andy Wright had his hernia operation which was successful and Barry Roche is making good progress with his long-term injury.

“He’s back with us after a short time off.

“He’s back in the gym and has got good reports from the specialists.

“Ryan Williams has also got a little bit of a groin problem.”
