MORECAMBE boss Jim Bentley said Saturday’s 6-0 demolition job of high fliers Crawley was the best moment of his managerial career to date.
Bentley saw his in-form side destroy the league’s big spenders with a performance that left the Globe Arena rocking.
He said: “It was an outstanding result and the best moment yet for me. I was very, very pleased because it was one of those days when everything came together. Everyone at the club has been working really hard both on and off the field since we took over to get things right and we got our rewards.
“I can’t praise the lads enough really. We were solid at the back and always looked a threat up front and to score six against a side like Crawley and to keep another clean sheet was fantastic.
“It’s still early days yet and we have to keep our feet on the ground but we have to enjoy moments like this and look to get some more as the season goes on.”
