Morecambe kick-off their pre-season campaign when Burnley visit the Globe Arena on Tuesday night.

Shrimps fans will get their first look at the new arrivals at the club when Sean Dyche’s side make the trip to the resort for a 7.45pm kick-off.

Mark Hughes looks set to lead the side after the former Bury defender completed his move to the Shrimps on Tuesday morning.

Accrington Stanley striker Padraig Amond and former Tranmere right back Luke Denson, who was most recently with AFC Fylde, Colwyn Bay and Chester, look set to feature as trialists,

Out of contract forward Danny Carlton should also get some game time on his comeback from injury.

One player who will be absent is Chris McCready who is still recovering from ankle surgery back in April but Shrimps boss Jim Bentley is hoping he will be fit for the game against Middlesbrough on July 17.

The Clarets are likely to go into the game without prolific striker Charlie Austin who had been set to complete a move to Premier League new boys Hull City before it collapsed late on Monday night due to complications over the striker’s medical.

Burnley have also seen out of contract pair Martin Paterson and Chris McCann leave for Huddersfield and Wigan respectively this summer,

And with the departures of three goalkeepers they have signed no less than four stoppers including former Manchester United youngster Tom Heaton, who looks set to be their number one in the Championship this season.

The Clarets finished 11th in the second tier last year ending the campaign three games unbeaten.

They were 3-1 winners on their last visit to the Globe Arena in a second round League Cup tie back in August 2010.

Phil Jevons had given the home side a 12th-minute lead before the East Lancashire side, then just relegated from the Premier League, rallied to make round three.
