Morecambe boss Jim Bentley has challenged his side to improve on last season’s points tally.
The Shrimps sit on 49 points after their draw at Carlisle, five short of last year’s total with eight games to go – starting at Exeter on Saturday.
Bentley said: “It’s always a tough game.
“When they were here earlier in the season they were one of the best sides we’d seen.
“For one reason or another they drifted away but they’ve come back now and look like they’ll have a late run for it.
“We’re four unbeaten on the road though and there’s no reason why we can’t go and get something.
“We’re on 49 points and there’s still plenty to play for.
“The play-offs might look a long way off but people are still willing to pay to see us play and there’s professional pride.
“In the games we’ve got coming up we want to enjoy the run in and get as many points as we can and try and improve on last season.”
