Morecambe boss Jim Bentley has lent his support to the club’s ladies side ahead of their big day at the Globe Arena.
The Shrimps’ Ladies host Stoke City in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday in their first ever game at the home of the men’s team.
Bentley said: “It’s great.
“I’ve been copied in on the stuff about whether they can or can’t play here.
“It’s a great idea and fantastic that we can show our support and lend a hand to them.
“They can’t play here every week because of the pitch but for this type of match, FA Cup third round against Stoke, it’s fantastic that we’re hosting it here at the Globe and showing that relationship is strong between the two groups.
“Hopefully they can get through to the next round.”
Kick-off on Sunday, February 1, is noon with admission £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
