The right back was one of a number of departures announced by The Shrimps at the end of the season with the Bluebirds claiming the former Fleetwood man rejected a new deal at the Globe Arena to make the move to Holker Street.

Paul Cox’s ambitious side finished 11th in the top tier of non-league last year and will have designs on a run at the play-offs this time around.

Beeley spent two and a half years with The Shrimps after arriving from Fleetwood, making 93 League 2 appearances for Jim Bentley’s side.

After being named Morecambe’s player of the year in the 2014-2015 season the 27-year-old was Shrimps skipper for large parts of last season in the absence of the injured Peter Murphy.

Prior to arriving at the Globe Arena, Beeley was part of Fleetwood’s rapid rise from non-league to Football League.
