Having opted to bat first Bare struggled to get away as first Dylan Conroy (2-14) and Garry Tattersall (1-11) and then Andy Nisbet (2-14) and Zach Bhucannan (1-19) bowled well.

Alan Regan (27 not out) weathered the storm but the tight Westgate bowling meant they couldn’t up the run rate, with former Morecambe FC goalkeeper Andreas Arestidou (1-13) getting a late breakthrough.

In reply both Westgate openers were dropped in the opening two overs and Bare were made to pay.

Captain Hill finished 28 not out but Alex Briggs was the star, making 73 not out as target was reached in the 19th over.

In division two Westgate’s A team were winners over Ingleton.

Westgate posted 131 before bowling out the north Yorkshire side for just 74, captain Dave Hannigan taking 7-26 from his 10 overs.
