Club runners cross country for Lancashire and Cumbria
First to race were the Inter-girls from school years 10 and 11 with Cumbria’s 15-year-old Scarlet Dale, Queen Elizabeth School, Kirby Lonsdale, finishing 21st.
Also running for Cumbria Heidi Murray, Queen Katherine School, Kendal, finished 174th.

Hide AdIn the Junior Girls’ race, years 8 and 9, Emma Whitaker, Queen Elizabeth School, Kirby Lonsdale, finished 62nd as part of the Cumbrian team.
Lancaster Girls Grammar School provided three of the seven Lancashire Senior Girls.
First home was Mary Hodgson in 21st place, followed by Natalie Beadle in 169th and Helen Ockenden in 184th
On Sunday, Lancaster and Morecambe athlete Isabelle Woodman was in action at the National Prep Schools’ Cross Country Championships were she finished sixth in the U13 Girls’ race representing Rossall School.
This fixture marked the end of the cross country season for the athletes who now move onto track meets and summer fell races.
