The ball went to stand off Nick Hamer who stepped back inside before shooting through to score under the posts. Jack Edmondson converted as Carnforth moved into a 12-0 lead.

The Eden defence then stood firm with Edmondson going close - losing the ball from his grasp as he went over the try line.

Lee Moorhouse thought he had scored a try also but again play was brought back for an infringement.

Thirty minutes into the game and Eden got on the scoresheet with a well worked try down the left flank although the conversion was missed.

Carnforth did get their hands on the ball with Mathew Short, Edmondson and Brad Wheatman all going close but the Eden defence stood equally to the task in hand.
