Brave Bowe helps team home
The Lancaster Tennis Club’s under 17 boys tennis squad had another comprehensive win at second placed Hambleton on Saturday.
Captain Tom Bowe bravely battled with injury to clinch the crucial rubber in straight sets. Elliot Gardner and newcomer Oliver MacNeil had easy wins in their singles matches while Dan Main had an epic two-hour battle with Will Abbots, saving three match points but losing on a tie break. Lancaster also won both doubles matches to secure a 5-1 win.
The whole squad can now look forward to representing Lancaster at the Youth Games in Aalborg in a few weeks time.
