Isaac Lowe will defend his Commonwealth title in September.

Morecambe’s Westgate Warrior makes the first defence of his Commonwealth featherweight title against Tshifhiwa Munyai at the Manchester Arena on September 24 on the undercard of the unification fight between lightweight kings Anthony Crolla and Jorge Linares.

Lowe is hoping to have plenty of support from the district on the biggest night of his career so far.

He said: “It’s going to be another massive show and I want to say thanks to Steve (Wood, manager) and Eddie (Hearn, promoter) for getting me back on.

“It’s a big occasion live on Sky and that means you’ll see the best Isaac Lowe.

“I was only out of the gym for a couple of weeks and I’ll soon be back in shape and ready to rumble.

“I need more support than ever though because the extra man could make the difference.

“I just need the whole area to get behind me because I’m doing it for the town.”
