Morecambe’s former WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion fights for the second time since returning to the ring at Windsor Park on August 18 against on opponent to be confirmed.

His victory over Sefer Seferi on June 9 after more than two-and-a-half years out had an element of farce about it as the self-proclaimed “Gypsy King” breezed past a much smaller opponent who was pulled out after four rounds.

Now the 29-year-old wants a stiffer test as he returns to Belfast on the undercard of home favourite Carl Frampton’s defence of his ‘interim’ WBO World featherweight title against unbeaten Australian Luke Jackson.

“This will be my fourth time boxing in Belfast and I cannot wait,” Fury told the media at a press conference on Monday.

“Last time I boxed here was six years ago (against Kevin Johnson in December 2012), and it’s always been very welcoming.

“It’s going to be even more welcoming as a returning world champion.

“Seferi was 23-1 but as soon as I clipped him he didn’t want to know.

“I can’t complain. I am still good looking.

“I hope we get someone who will punch me in the face, bust my face, bust my nose and I can show them.”

“I am still hoping for four fights this year.”

Promoter Frank Warren believes there is plenty more to come from Fury who is working under new trainer Ben Davison and will be in 10-round non-title action in a couple of months’ time.

“He’s still got weight to come off,” he said.

“He was training to come back, now he’s going to train to fight. That’s the difference.”

As well as Frampton’s headline clash with Jackson there will be world title action with Paddy Barnes challenging for the WBC World flyweight title in just his sixth professional contest when he faces champion Cristofer Rosales.

Elsewhere, the British Boxing Board of Control have ordered Isaac Lowe’s rematch with British featherweight champion Ryan Walsh for a second time.

The board want the fight to happen by the end of October after the first contest in February ended in a draw.
