Skerton Amateur Boxing Club’s Lewis Marshall was knocked out in the National Schoolboy semi-finals in Croxteth on Sunday.
Despite the defeat is has been an excellent run for the 14-year-old who is now ranked number three in the country and is likely to go on to fight for England.
The Lancaster club also had five fighters in action on a show in Blackpool.
John Kelly, 11, won all three rounds and came away as a unanimous points winner against a home fighter.
Twelve-year-old Dinny Kelly then started at a fast pace and outclassed his opponent before Reece Mills, 13, made a successful return to the ring after a year out.
Mathew Doey, 15, continued the excellent night for Skerton meaning it was left to 23-year-old Martin Baird to complete a full house.
It was a case of leaving the best till last as Baird picked up a stoppage win after a vicious body shot that sunk his opponent to his knees.
The referee gave a standing eight count before waving off the contest to complete a great night for the Lancaster club.
