The club have taken the decision to drop to just one team this year with the remaining players fulfilling what would have been the second team fixtures.

Carnforth were in front early on the Fylde coast with Phil Metcalfe selling a superb dummy to cut inside and score after just two minutes.

The visitors soon extended their lead with winger Ben Brocklebank scoring his side’s second try.

Metcalfe had his third on the half hour which man of the match Jack Edmondson converted before going over himself almost immediately from the restart after Tom Mason had chased down a Kevin Hardy kick.

A 24-0 half-time lead was soon extended when Kieron Morgan scored under the posts, Edmondson again converting.

Blackpool kept battling however and their efforts were rewarded with a well-worked penalty move out wide to reduce the score.
