The unbeaten Morecambe giant goes into the biggest fight of his life confident that the battle for the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO titles at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany won’t go the full 12 rounds.

Unconcerned about possible problems fighting in the Ukrainian’s adopted homeland, where away fighters have sometimes lost out controversially on the scorecards, Fury is promising fight fans an explosive battle. .

The unbeaten former British, Commonwealth and European champion said: “I’m not interested (in possible problems of fighting in Germany).

“I’m not going to win on points and I’m not going to lose on points either.

“It’s a win, win situation when you’ve got that mentality.

“It’s knocking him out or being knocked out.

“It’s definitely not going to go 36 minutes. How can I let that happen?

“One of us is heading to the canvas.”

It is perhaps a surprising claim given how critical he has been of Klitschko’s ‘boring’ and ‘robotic’ style at times.

Fury, 27, insists the ball is in the champion’s court.

He said: “Let’s just hope he engages.

“If he comes for a fight then it’ll be entertaining for the fans.

“If he doesn’t come to fight and he comes to play chess instead of box it then it’s going to be a boring night.”
