Best of year so far for youngsters at Junior Triathlon
Sasha Oldham (12), Rhys Ashton (10), Shea Hannam (14) and Georgia Hannam (17) all took gold in their respective age categories.
Sasha swam 200m before putting in a superb 6km bike to overtake her rival from St Helens Tri and held her lead on the 1800m run to take her first full Triathlon win in 24:02.

Hide AdRhys, who completed the same distance as Sasha at the younger end of his age category was up against some superb swimmers but was dominant on the bike and run that resulted in a decisive win for young Rhys by over one minute with a time of 23:34.
Shea took Tristar 3 in 27:13 also with a solid bike and Georgia added to her unbeaten record in Tristar Junior Girls with a 39:06 in the Junior category.
The second places were also impressive. Ben Winterburn (14) put in a fantastic swim to finish second in his best result to date and Lydia Shenton (13), also at the younger end was again absolutely solid despite a slip on exit from the pool.
Zach Earnshaw (8) also took a second place in the Duathlon with a fabulous performance. Jack Collet (9) took a solid third in the Aquathlon and both Larissa Hannam (11) and Archie Honeysett (9) bagged 4th places.

Hide AdIn Tristar 1, Anan Tiger Clarke (9), Kirsty Maher (10) and George Wilby (9) all put in great performances as did Thomas Dowthwaite (11), Amelie Earnshaw (10) and Madison Craven (11). Harry Shaw (12) and Sadie Spencer (14) who will join the Youth Games team in August also got some solid practice in with a fantastic performance.
