Athletics: Runners feeling festive

It is a very popular event with more than 600 athletes taking part.

This year’s top spot went to Irish international mountain runner Sarah McCormack in 33.46.

Miriam Rosen was first back for the district club in 52.41 and took the prize for first lady over 65.

Anne Dareys was next home in 53.10, Nigel Beeson finished in 53.47 and David Rosen recorded 78.13.

Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club are inviting entries for their Christmas Festive Fun Run on December 27.
