Morecambe businessman David Brayshaw, chair of the carnival organising committee, said: “It’s a fantastic line up. We hope for 4,000 in the Arena and between 10 and 15,000 people in Morecambe on the day. It could be one of the biggest days in Morecambe’s recent history.”

Acts will perform on the main stage from noon, hosted by The Bay radio’s Darren Milby and Danny Matthews. Headliners Kingsland Road are due on stage at 8pm.

The carnival parade will start at 2pm from Morecambe Yacht Club, heading to The Battery.
