Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to cross the A683 at a manned crossing point.

This closure is to allow the final surfacing to be laid on the A683 in preparation for overnight surfacing operations on Northgate. The work is weather dependant.

Visitors to premises on Newgate are advised that they will need to access Newgate via Northgate from the direction of Ovangle Road (Asda).

All businesses on the White Lund Trading Estate are accessible; however drivers must adhere to the temporary traffic management instructions and allow extra traveling time.

The Northgate/A683 junction works are expected to be complete and fully open to traffic again by the end of 2015.
