Battered mince pies and Christmas pudding are on the menu at a popular chippy over the festive season.
John Wild, owner of Tarnbrook Chippy in Heysham, is up to his festive fun again by offering his customers battered delicacies over Christmas in order to raise money for the local RNLI crew at Morecambe
Reporter Michelle Blade said: “Glen Knox who is John’s second in command was there when we went and prepared some battered Christmas pudding and mince pies for us.
“The mince pies were crispy and light on the outside with a succulent, sweet mincemeat filling.
“They would be delicious dusted with icing sugar and served with cream. As all the proceeds from the mince pies and Christmas puddings (which are £1 each) go to towards the RNLI, the money is for a good cause.”
Glen said: “All monies raised from these bad boys goes to a local cause, so it’s good fun for everybody.”
