Uni dementia new research showcase
Lancaster University Centre for Ageing Research is staging the one-day open event, ‘Dementia Futures’, on September 18 at Lancaster Town Hall.
The programme will include keynote talks and a series of short ‘sound bites’ from those working on new developments in science, social and health research around dementia.

Hide AdThe day will examine an array of topics including: the latest software for tracking cognitive health, the emotional impact of dementia on care staff, dementia care training, drug developments and technology.
‘Dementia Futures’ will also feature a ‘Trade Fair’ including an exhibition of art work developed with people with dementia, a display of the latest eye-tracking research for the early detection of dementia and a musical bench, developed by members of ImaginationLancaster, that allows older people to stretch whilst creating music.
The event, from 9.30am to 4pm, is free but places are limited and a reserve registration list is already in operation.
