Chris, who runs his own gardening business called The Lawn Ranger, was "happily digging away" in Sharron Lee's garden in Lancaster Road when he made the discovery.

He said: "All of a sudden I came across a skull.

"I nearly had a heart attack!

"Heart pounding and panicking I carefully dug around it when the owner came back and said 'that's Harold', I lost him years and years ago, I thought someone had pinched him'."

Chris said this left him even more confused, until Sharron explained Harold was actually just a Halloween prop.

He said: "Its not something you dig out of the ground often, but we all had a great laugh about it afterwards."

Chris said the discovery was good timing given Halloween is just over a week away, and he hoped the story would give people a good laugh during difficult times.
