Morecambe artist signs major music distribution deal in US

The 35-year-old singer songwriter and hip hop and reggae artist will release his brand new single Are You Ready on Christmas Day.

His previous release Wonderful People will be aired with NBC Universal in 21 cities across the United States over the Christmas period.

The video for Wonderful People has been filmed in Morecambe and features well known and much loved landmarks in the town.

Taran said: “Wonderful People is all about the many different types of people in the world, their egos, and how each of us all have our very own way of thinking.

"It’s about how we as a people have allowed things to get out of control and lost respect."

Taran wrote the song with Daniel Cave Eastwood and composed it with Buff Baggwell Beats.

It features Jessiah from the UK, Joseph from Jamaica and F-Dot Fernandez from Philadelphia.

He added: "I'm absolutely over the moon with the love and support I have been getting for the song.

"I have so much more to put out and I'm only just getting started."

The deal with Amada Records is in partnership with Universal Music Group Distribution/INgrooves alongside RuffNeckTalent Management & Shared Success Global Entertainment.

Taran, who has been making music for 14 years, has used the working title Reel Brothers Productions for the last two years.
