Lancaster University Students' Union appeals for more landlords to join accredited agency

SU Living, the student accommodation service managed by Lancaster University Students' Union, is working to expand and is looking for new partners to be part of its managed housing service.

SU Living manages hundreds of properties in the Lancaster area, from multi-occupancy houses to individual flats.

Utilities and wifi are included in the rent to simplify the process for tenants and eliminate complications over bills and payments.

Lancaster University Students' Union Chief Executive Misbah Ashraf said: "We're looking for landlords who want to rent their properties in the confidence that their tenants are getting the best service.

"SU Living is run by the students' union on behalf of its student membership and our team is dedicated to ensuring our tenants have everything they need for successful study and enjoyable leisure.

"We're also committed to ensuring that our partner landlords are protected from the day-to-day tasks of letting, with staff support for our tenants available 365 days a year.

"Student lettings form a major part of Lancaster's economy and the students' union has more than 20 years of experience in working with city Landlords."

SU Living also provides a full property maintenance service, and only lets properties that meet the requirements of the Lancaster University Homes accreditation scheme, ensuring its tenants live in appropriate surroundings.

Support is available from Living to bring properties up to the required standards, simplifying the process for landlords.
