Has lockdown worked for the Lancaster district? Here are the neighbourhoods where Covid infections have fallen fastest

The Lancaster district has now been in a lockdown for almost seven weeks - but are coronavirus cases falling everywhere?

The latest figures show 12 out of 18 neighbourhoods have seen a drop in infections in the latest seven-day period.

Here we reveal which neighbourhoods have seen the biggest drop in case rates per 100,000 people between February 5 and February 12.

1. Marsh, Haverbreaks and Scotforth Ward

Marsh, Haverbreaks and Scotforth Ward has seen rates of positive Covid cases fall by 66%, from 194 to 64.7.

Lancaster Central has seen rates of positive Covid cases fall by 63.6%, from 120.7 to 43.9.

Morecambe Westgate has seen rates of positive Covid cases fall by 54.2%, from 357.2 to 163.7.

Halton and Caton has seen rates of positive Covid cases fall by 50%, from 141.2 to 70.6.
