The 6ft9in boxer, who lives in Hest Bank, was given his championship belt at an awards ceremony held at the 1930s art deco hotel on Wednesday.

The unified world heavyweight champion also picked up his award from The Ring – the American ‘Bible of Boxing’ – for Fighter of the Year.

Fury, who outpointed the Ukrainian to win the titles in November 2015, is due to fight a rematch with Klitschko later this year but has admitted he might quit boxing.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I’m struggling to get motivated.

“I could walk away. I could just sail into the sunset unbeaten with all the belts and live a normal life.”

Tyson also said a sheikh in Dubai had offered him a $120m fight with Klitschko on board a yacht in a showdown to be watched by just 120 people, each paying $1m a ticket.

“I don’t think it’s possible now, but it would have been an epic story,” he said.
